The Plastic Age**by Percy Marks

Narrated by Scott Cluthe

First published in 1924, The Plastic Age was considered shocking enough to be banned in Boston. It describes the experiences of a student at a fictional men's college. Among these are many examples of contemporary "frat" behaviour, including drinking, smoking, wild partying, and sexual suggestiveness.

At the time of publication, Percy Marks was a staff member at Brown University but lost his job because the university administration considered the book to be a thinly disguised portrait of life at the college.
